Hula Hut

This weekend was very productive for us and lots of fun. On Saturday we headed to Hula Hut for lunch. We love going there and it had been way too long so it was a nice treat. Afterwards we went to the Galleria in Bee Cave to do some shopping.....it was great to do some things across town that we rarely get to do.

Randomness

This is all purely random but I thought I would post everything. This first picture is from last Monday morning. Sarah woke up in the middle of the night because she thought she saw a scorpion (it was a dream). She came downstairs and wanted to sleep with us. Kristen then woke shortly after because of a bad dream and also wanted to sleep with us. They never really do this and it was strange they both had bad dreams on the same night. They basically kicked us out of our own bed.....don't they look comfortable? 

There were two cocoons outside on the rock wall that the girls would "check on" every day. The two cocoons were side by side so the girls said they were twins. Last weekend, we walked outside to this beautiful butterfly. The other one came the next day but we missed it. The girls were so proud of this butterfly because they really felt like they had been taking care of it.

The picture below is this morning. The girls love to eat outside and they wanted to have their breakfast outside. Not sure if you can see it but in the center of the table is a paper cup with a couple of flowers they picked out the yard. They picked them earlier in the morning and decided to take them outside while they had breakfast because they felt it would be like a picnic. They then asked us to take them on a real picnic with a blanket.....I think we'll have to do that soon.

This afternoon we turned on the sprinkler and they turned their slide into a water slide. They loved it!

The Easter Bunny Came

The Easter Bunny came to our before church but he didn't hide our eggs until late in the day on Sunday. The girls are professional egg hunters. After they found them the first time, they would each take turns to hide them so the other could hunt them. They loved it!

I love this picture. Kristen hid the egg in the tree but it was too high for Sarah to reach. 

She tried but couldn't reach it so the next picture shows Kristen lifting her up to get it. 

This wraps up our Easter pictures. It was fabulous!

Making Easter Eggs

One of my favorite things to do is color easter eggs. I love, love, love doing this with the girls. I think I love it so much because they have so much fun and get so excited. This year was no different and we all enjoyed it. 

The two most beautiful and sweetest sisters ever. 

Celebration Church ~ Easter Sunday

Today was AMAZING!  I'm not sure how many people actually showed up for church today but they estimated between 20,000-30,000 people. I can tell you we got there 2 hours early and got decent spots and the buses just kept coming and coming dropping off people. The church had nine different parking lots around town and 120 school buses to transport everyone. Church made the national news because our guest speaker was Tim Tebow. Jay Leno mentioned it, it was on the Today Show, front page of ESPN and most every other media outlet reported on it. 

The girls did wonderfully well, despite the crowds and the escalating heat. We were really proud of them! It was a lot taking them out there but not going was never option for us. This is our church and we wouldn't miss Easter Sunday....only the most important day we can ever celebrate. 

They got balloons and face painting. 

They never got to wear their beautiful Easter dresses since this was an outdoor event.....I guess we will save them for next Sunday.

Having Tim Tebow at our church on Easter Sunday was very special. This guy is truly a good guy........wish there were more people out there like him. What I loved most was how none of it distracted from the purpose of Easter. 

School Easter Egg Hunt

The girls had their school Easter Egg Hunt last week. They had a blast and got MORE candy....seriously, the last thing we need.
