Easter

The Easter Bunny came early this morning. I could hear the girls talking when they came downstairs and checking out what was in their Easter baskets. A minute later I could tell they were looking out of the window to see if the bunny hid any eggs and they said they could see some from the back door.

They had a fun time hunting for eggs and this year the bunny left so many that they were in the front and back yard.

After the egg hunt we got ready for church. They wanted to wear the new dresses that Nana got them and they looked so beautiful in them. Seriously, they are the most beautiful girls I've ever seen.

Church was fantastic....so glad we centered our day around it. The girls enjoyed it as well....they always do. They had kids church in this big tent and all of the grades were combined together. They had their own stage with their own band. They apparently also had a juggler and someone riding a unicycle....they must keep their attention.

When church was over, we ran into the Easter Bunny in church parking lot. Kristen announced in the car on the way home that it wasn't the real Easter Bunny. She told us that it's just someone wearing a bunny suit. She explained that the real Easter Bunny is like magic and comes while everyone sleeps.

Easter Eggs

Today the girls dyed Easter eggs in the backyard. They did all colors and even some glitter eggs. I really look forward to this every year......simple pleasures of life.

Painting With A Twist

Allison, Dawn and I did Painting with a Twist again last weekend. April couldn't make it this time and we missed her. I truly love spending time with these ladies. I'm so glad our daughters brought us all together.

Last Nights of the Cruise

The last day of the cruise was a sea day. By this point, we quit taking pictures. I spent the entire day laying out and taking the girls to the pool. They both wanted to go to kids camp during the afternoon and that allowed me to officially relax during the last bit of our trip. It was a great trip but very happy to be back.

The pictures below are actually from the evening after Cozumel.

Cozumel - Dolphin Discovery

The only real excursion I wanted to do was swim with the dolphins. I read up on it and it seemed like the best place to do it was in Cozumel, so that was the plan. Dolphin Discovery at Chankanaab Park was an incredible place. We were all super excited when we got there but that quickly changed. The trainer announced that water shoes couldn't be worn in the water with the dolphins and Kristen and Sarah both immediately took theirs off. The only problem was we were still on a wooden pier and had to walk out to where we got in the water. Just as we were taking off, Sarah got a splinter in her toe from the wooden pier. I tried to get it out but I couldn't. Joe had to take her off and some nice man with a tackle box got it out. The splinter only took a few minutes to remove; however, the tears were flowing. She stopped crying as we reached the water but she was already upset and never really recovered. They couldn't touch once in the water so we had to hold them and it freaked Sarah out. She ultimately opted to sit on the pier and watch....crying mostly but she still watched. Kristen was willing to stay in the water but she didn't make it to the end where the good stuff happened. She did touch the dolphin and she did go out on the boogie board while the dolphin pushed us in.

Ultimately, they both ended up on the pier while we participated in the rest of it. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the dolphins. I'd actually like to do it again.....maybe next time without kids. :-)
