Fun Couple of Days

We've really had a great weekend. Friday afternoon and evening involved the girls and their neighborhood friends playing in the pool. I didn't get any pictures because everyone was having way too much fun. We are truly lucky to have great neighbors. Most of our street has kids and everyone gets along really well. I'm very glad we live here.

Saturday morning the girls played in the front yard with their sidewalk chalk. Excuse their hair....it's their morning hair and we went straight to playing and hadn't even combed it. You can even see all of the chalk all over their little feet.

On Saturday afternoon my Mom came over to watch the girls so Joe and I could go out. We were actually going to dinner and a movie to celebrate his belated birthday. His actual birthday was the day after we returned from vacation and it's was pretty uneventful so I had to make up for it. We went to see Eclipse, which really wasn't about his birthday since he probably would have never picked it....that was definitely about me. We did have a birthday dinner at North in The Domain. Love that place....it's where we go anytime my mom is here and we can go out to eat. For some reason we always do a self portrait when we're at The Domain....

This is Joe's birthday dessert. It was a Sour Cherry Sorbet Bread Pudding....pretty delicious

Today we went to breakfast with my Mom and went to a birthday party for fellow twins, Adam and Konrad. Adam and Konrad's mother works with me at the hospital and we went through our twin pregnancies together....they are exactly 2 weeks older than the girls. Their birthday party was at an indoor play scape and the girls didn't want to leave.

When we got home it was pretty late for a nap but we all took one anyway. We slept from 3:30 - 5:30 and it was wonderful. It was late but it was so worth it.
