Wednesday of our vacation was spent taking a nap trying to recuperate from Disneyland and then the afternoon/evening was at the San Diego Zoo. We didn't get to see all of the animals at the zoo because we knew that we would be going back on Friday and could catch whatever we missed then. The girls really enjoyed the zoo. I love it there and I'm so glad we all got to experience it together.
They said they liked the koalas the best but I think they enjoyed the hippos the most. They kept jumping up and down every time the hippo would come to the glass water tank and they would screen HIPPOPOTAMUS...IT'S A BIG HIPPOPOTAMUS. They would then say that they wanted to see it again and would sit back on the bench. The hippo came around about 6 times and each time was just like that. The zoo is really incredible and so much more than the girls ever imagined.

They played in the Children's Zoo and got to pet a pony while there.
All of the koalas were asleep while we were there....they are the cutest!
