The Great Wolf Lodge - 3rd Annual Birthday Bash

For the third year in a row we took the girls to The Great Wolf Lodge. This year we got the Kid Kamp room, which they loved. Sarah slept on the top bunk and Kristen wanted the bottom. It's apparent how much they've grown up over this past year....they are now so independent.

They got to say hi to Wiley and Violet during breakfast.

They swam, swam and swam some more. We rode almost all of the water slides and played in wave pool, lazy river and all of the other attractions. 

For dinner we went to a BBQ place called Big Rack Ribs. Lets just say the name should of been a dead give-a-way that it wasn't the most family friendly place; however, we decided to stay and the food ended up being very good. We may just go back next time we are in Grapevine.

I think the girls really enjoyed the weekend and they got to do everything the Great Wolf has to offer. 

Kristen Lost Her 1st Tooth

Just a couple of hours after her birthday party, Kristen lost her very first tooth. She's been patiently waiting for this tooth to fall out. Seriously.....it's been about 2 months. When Sarah's started, it was about 2 weeks until it fell out on its own. Kristen's never actually fell out....I had to pull it because it was still "hanging" in there. I am so proud of her! Grandpa and Cheree were here to see this as well and that was really nice. She immediately wanted to put it in her tooth fairy box.

The tooth fairy came and she was greatly rewarded for her patience.

K & S ~ 6th Birthday Party

The girls had their 6th birthday party at My Party Palace. I had never been to a party there before but the owner attended one of our girl scout meetings and I got her card. Her place was perfect and the ultimate "all girl" birthday party. So cute.

Many of their friends got to attend the party.

Each little girl got to pick out a dress, shoes and all of the accessories they wanted. After they changed, they got their nails painted and then modeled their outfits in a "fashion show" on the runway. Very cute. They had a tea party, had story time and made their own tiara to take home. It was a great party and I'm glad my two little princesses had a wonderful time.

 

Sea World

The girls went on a big kid field trip to Sea World last Thursday. They were gone all day....from 7:30 in the morning until 8 at night. They had a really fun time but to summarize it in their words....the most exciting part was riding in the fancy charter bus with TV's and a restroom. That's what really impressed them.

JW Marriott

A couple of weekends ago we went to the JW Marriott Hill Country....it was also Joe's birthday that weekend. The JW did not disappoint. What an amazing place. LOVE IT THERE!

Friday started at the pool, s'mores and then a movie in the pool.

Saturday was a big breakfast, swimming all day and then hanging out on the golf course letting the girls play in the evening.

On Sunday we did the Duck Race and then more fun at the pool before heading home.

What a fun weekend!
